ABOUT ME
Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a female boudoir photographer based in Stockwood, Bristol in the UK
I was always taking photos as a child, in fact I was usually the one handed the camera because I was so good at it (well this is the excuse my parents gave me when I asked why there were no photos of me and thousands of my brother!!) I always felt there was something so special about capturing a moment in time that will never happen again, it’s still a bit like magic to me.
After studying photography at college and then a few jobs in advertising and graphic design later, I became a professional photographer nearly 15 years ago, photographing maternity sessions and newborn babies since 2009, but it was the maternity sessions that drew me towards a shift to boudoir in early 2021.
Why boudoir? It’s simple really. I loved the fact that my maternity clients loved their images, they left our studio empowered with new found confidence. Not only did I love that I was empowering women but I was empowered myself. I could tell you that you are beautiful over and over but let’s be honest, you probably aren’t going to believe me, but showing you the back of my camera, well…, you can see for yourself! You can see what I see and that really does bring me great joy.
I began to realise I wanted the opportunity to offer that same experience to all women, to show every woman how beautiful she is and that’s where boudoir came in.
I have photographed hundreds of women over the years and I love how every client is so unique and different, all shapes and sizes, ages and ethnicity. None of us are perfect, we all have flaws and that right there is the beauty of it, these flaws, imperfections if you will, make us beautiful and different and unique.
My passion it to help you to learn to love your body, to accept and appreciate and celebrate your body, the way it is right now. We will be growing old in this body so it’s never too late to start the self-love, our bodies are amazing and should be celebrated.
