A common question I’m asked by my clients, is around their boudoir images and privacy, ‘what happens to my boudoir images?’ and whether their images are going to end up on my website or on social media.
Well, I am very happy to answer that question and to explain what I do with the photos and what happens to them after you have seen them, but first please know that I take your privacy very seriously. If you do not want your sexy butt on my Instagram feed for everyone to see, that is most definitely your choice and I will never post it, it is entirely your decision. None of my clients are obligated to have their images posted.
All the client images you see on my social media pages or website have given written permission for their images to be shared.
PLACES I MIGHT USE YOUR BOUDOIR IMAGES
Let’s say you are happy for me to share your images, the only platforms that they may appear on is my private Facebook page which is women only, Instagram and my website. This is just to show off my work. Images may also be used in-house for artwork samples such as albums and wall art.
THE IMPORTANCE OF PRIVACY
If I do not respect your privacy, I don’t have a business, it’s as simple as that.
I feel it’s important to remind you before you sign your release form that the internet is forever, once as image is ‘out there’ you can ask me to take it down (which of course I will) but once they have been posted it is out of my control what may happen to them.
WHERE ARE YOUR BOUDOIR IMAGES STORED
All raw images are deleted once the final cut has been made for editing. The edited images are then stored on a secure server at the studio and a backup copy on an encrypted drive that is locked in a safe at our house. We do not use any cloud storage at all.
WHAT HAPPENS TO THE IMAGES YOU DON’T PURCHASE
Any images that are not purchased are deleted. It’s important to select the images that you want to keep at your ordering appointment. I also do not post any non-purchased images to my social media or website.
WHEN IS THE RELEASE SIGNED
The release form is gone through at the end of the ordering session once you have seen all your images. We will go through the photos one by one and you can choose which ones (if any) that you are comfortable for me to share.
If that happens to be none, that is absolutely fine.
